Nakano ZERO (Momiji-yama Culture Center )

Large hall that can be used for concerts and lectures (seating capacity: 1,292), small hall (seating capacity: 550), multipurpose rehearsal rooms, study rooms, lectures and support section for lifelong learning and lifelong activities where we provide information about lifelong learning and inquiry service.

Nogata WIZ (Nogata Kumin Hall)

There is a small hall (seating capacity: 248).

Nakano Performing Arts Little Theater

This theater is geared towards "rakugo" story-telling and comedy shows (seating capacity: 110).

Nakano Historical Museum

This museum has a permanent exhibit rooms with an easy-to-understand exhibit on the history of Nakano from primitive to modern times. There are also special exhibits on art work, crafts, ukiyo-e paintings and ceramic works stored in the museum, etc. The museum also conducts such programs as lectures on paleography.

Chuo Library

The library has about 480,000 volumes of books (about 70,000 of which are children's books), 7,000 CDs, 700 cassette tapes, records and videos. To borrow an item, you must register for a library card, bringing some form of personal identification with your address on it. Upon registration, you can borrow up to 10 books or magazines and up to five CDs, cassette tapes, records and videos (in total) at any municipal library for a two-week period. You can also file a request if something is not available at the library.

  • Closed: As a rule, Mondays, once a month for inventory, special closed day and inspection of books, and during the year-end/New Year holidays
  • *There are also community libraries in Honcho, Nogata, Minamidai, Saginomiya, Higashi-Nakano, Egota and Kami-Takada.

Peace Materials Exhibition Room

As a local venue for people to think about peace, there are exhibits of materials on how people lived during the war, the evacuation of school children, air raids and the atomic bomb. Visitors can also watch videos or read materials related to peace.
