Garbage Collection Sites |
- Kitchen Scraps (Sea shells and egg shells are also combustible.)
- Paper Scraps (Tissue paper, paper cups, disposable diapers, etc.)
- Cigarette butts, branches (large quantities are handled as extra garbage), cooking oil (absorbed in paper or cloth), etc.
* Dispose of used paper (newspaper, cardboard and magazines) in group collections.

- Take garbage out by 8:00 a.m. on the collection day.
- Place items in a container with a lid or garbage bag recommended by the 23 cities of Tokyo.
- Drain kitchen scraps of water completely.

- Broken ceramic items, glass or knives (Wrap in thick paper to prevent injuries and label the bag to show its contents.)
- Fluorescent lights (Place in the packaging of the replacement purchased.)
- Disposable pocket warmers, aerosol cans, gas cassettes (Empty completely and place in a separate bag.)
- Lighters (Empty completely and remove flint.)
- Small (30 cm or less) household appliances, etc.
- Other plastic items (CDs, cassettes, toys, etc.)
- Plastic containers and wrapping (In communities with collection programs, dispose of items as recyclable plastic containers and wrapping.)

- *2 Leather and rubber items

- Place items in a transparent or semi-transparent plastic bag.

- Household furniture or household appliances measuring 30 cm or longer on any side.
Example: Futons, chairs, bicycles, vacuum cleaners, microwave ovens, bureaus, storage boxes, etc.
- Items measuring 30 cm or less on any side but are solid and difficult to handle. Example: Bowling balls, iron dumbbells, dumbbells, etc.
Items That Are Not Accepted
- Air Conditioners, CRT-based TVs (Braun-tube type), Refrigerator/Freezers and Laundry Machines (See the disposal procedures.)
- Personal Computers (See the disposal procedures.)
- Pianos, motorcycles, tires, car batteries, heat-resistant safes, fire extinguishers, etc. (See the disposal procedures.)
- Items weighing about 70 kg or more or measuring 2 meters or longer.
- Large garbage from business activities.

- * When applying for the collection of furniture, such as bureaus and shelves, please give the item's measurements (height and width).
The Reception Center will inform you of the collection date, fee, payment method and where to purchase Nakano City Large-Sized Waste Handling Fee Coupons (stickers).
Write your name on the sticker, attach it to your large item and take it to the front of your home (1F) on the designated collection day.
