- Wrapping paper, confection boxes, catalogs, pamphlets, tissue boxes, etc.
[Items That Cannot Be Collected]
- Heat-sensitive paper, laminated paper, oil paper, carbon paper, paper cups, photographs and albums. Please dispose of these items as combustible garbage.
* Some communities collect paper cartons and used clothes/cloth.

Nakano City conducts group collection programs for the collection of used paper.
- Take garbage out by 8:00 a.m. on the collection day.
- Bind items according to type with string (plastic string is acceptable) into bundles that can be carried with one hand before disposal.
- Flatten wrapping paper, confection boxes, catalogs, pamphlets and tissue boxes and bundle together with magazines before disposal.

- Aluminum cans, steel cans, glass bottles for food/beverages and pet food.
[Items That Cannot Be Collected]
- Please dispose of broken bottles, medicine bottles, cosmetics bottles, glass cups, ceramic items and oil bottles/cans, "itto" cans (18-liter cans) and soiled items as noncombustible garbage.

- Dispose of items by 8:30 a.m. on the collection day. (You must open the cases provided yourself.)
- Bottles: Remove caps and lay bottles down in the yellow case.
- Cans: Crush cans flat and place them in the blue case.

Containers and packaging made of plastic.
Product packaging that is no longer needed after the product is used. Look for the identifying "Pla-mark (Plastic mark)."
These items are considered Recyclable Resources.
Please wash out the contents of these containers thoroughly. In addition, do not put other items inside the containers.
[Items That Cannot Be Collected]
- Dispose of such products as toys, video tapes, CD/MDs and buckets as noncombustible garbage or combustible garbage.
- Please take plastic PET bottles to the collection box at some local supermarkets. (Dispose of caps and labels as plastic containers and wrapping.)

- * If you live in a community that does not have a collection program for plastic, dispose of these items as noncombustible garbage.
- * Collection will begin in all communities in FY2008.

- Take items to the designated site by 8:00 a.m. on the collection day.
- Clean containers and packaging and place items in a transparent or semitransparent bag before disposal.

| Plastic PET Bottles |
Plastic PET Bottles for beverages, sake, "mirin" sweet cooking sake or soy sauce. |
- Remove caps and labels, rinse the inside, crush flat and take items to the collection box located at some liquor stores, supermarkets and convenience stores.

| Dry-Cell Batteries |
- Take alkaline and manganese dry-cell batteries as well as lithium primary batteries for cameras to the collection box located at the Nakano City Office, local community centers and libraries. The city will collect items from these boxes.
[Items That Cannot Be Collected]
- Take rechargeable batteries and button-type batteries to the collection box located at such locations as retail shops.

| Old Clothes and Old Cloth |
- Items made of cloth, such as clothes, sheets, underwear, socks, Japanese-style clothes, curtains and blankets.

- Wash items and place them in a bag before disposal.
- Since some communities conduct group collection programs, please participate actively in these programs.
Collections are also carried out at the Environment and Recycling Plaza and at the Recycling Exhibition Room of the Waste Management Office. |

- Paper cartons for beverages (those without an aluminum lining).

- Cut open, wash and dry the cartons. Some supermarkets conduct independent collection programs in front of the store.
