Municipal Housing

Municipal housing is housing that is constructed and maintained by Nakano City, and is for low-income earners who live in the city and are having difficulty finding affordable housing.

Eligibility

1. The applicant himself/herself must have lived in Nakano City for two continuous years or longer.
2. The applicant's income must be within the designated range.
3. Applicants for housing for families must have a family living or planning to live in the same household.
4. Applicants for housing for singles must be 60 years of age or older (Even those who are under 60 years of age are eligible if designated requirements are fulfilled.)

Housing Floor Plan

From 1DK to 3DK (33 to 62 square meters)

Rental Fee (depending on income, housing space and age of the building)

Monthly fee: 15,600yen to 110,500yen

How to Apply:

There are 12 apartment complexes and 430 homes. As a rule, applicants are sought and announced once a year in the city bulletin (in Japanese).

Application forms are distributed at a special site on the 1st floor and residence-related departments on the 8th floor in Nakano City Office, and community centers.

Resident Housing

Resident housing is quality private rental housing that is rented by the city and offered for rent to middle-income earners who are raising children.

Eligibility

1. Those who have lived in Nakano City for two years or longer.
2. A family of three members or more, including those who are under 18 years of age.
3. The applicant"s income must be within the designated range.
4. Those who are not delinquent in paying their Special City Resident's Tax.

Tokyo Metropolitan Housing

Metropolitan housing which is maintained by the Tokyo Metropolitan government, public rental housing of the Tokyo Metropolitan Housing Supply Corporation, and metropolitan resident housing are also available.

Brochures are distributed at residence-related departments on the 8th floor and general information counter on the 1st floor in Nakano City Office, and community centers in the application period.
